Roaster feature · Caravan Coffee Roasters

Four Caravan coffees. Four genuinely different jobs.

Daily, House, Vista and Decaf make more sense as a flavour map than a numbered ranking. Start with the drink, then choose how traditional, fruity or filter-led the bag should be.

The Home Coffee Index verdict

Choose Daily for familiar versatility, House for fruit-led espresso, Vista for filter and Decaf for the evening.

That is a use-case verdict, not a taste-test podium. Caravan’s own published notes and recipes support the distinction; your grinder, water and recipe still decide what reaches the cup.

How to choose

Three decisions narrow the range quickly.

  1. 01

    What do you drink most?

Daily is the broadest all-rounder. House makes the clearest espresso-first case. Vista is explicitly filter-led. Decaf solves the caffeine decision before the brew-method decision.

  2. 02

    Traditional or fruit-led?

Daily’s hazelnut, caramel and chocolate direction is the familiar route. House moves towards stone fruit and berries; Vista combines forest fruit with muscovado and nougat.

  3. 03

    Whole bean or correctly ground?

Choose whole bean only when the grinder suits the brew method. Otherwise use Caravan’s brew-specific grind option and accept that espresso adjustment will be limited.

Evidence trail

The official pages behind the comparison.

Caravan’s live range page currently lists Daily, House, Vista and Decaf alongside rotating single origins. Seasonal products can sell out, so this feature focuses on the core routes with stable product pages.

Direct answers

Caravan coffee questions, answered.

Which Caravan coffee is best for espresso?+

Daily is the most straightforward traditional all-rounder, while House is the more fruit-led signature espresso route. Decaf has an explicit espresso recipe for a caffeine-reduced option. The best choice depends on flavour and drink, not brand hierarchy.

Which Caravan beans are best with milk?+

Daily is the clearest starting route because Caravan describes a thick-bodied, low-acidity profile with hazelnut, caramel and chocolate notes. House can suit smaller milk drinks when brighter fruit is welcome; Decaf provides a chocolate-brownie and maple direction.

Can Caravan Daily be used for filter coffee?+

Yes. Caravan explicitly develops Daily for espresso and filter, sells a filter-ground option and publishes it as an all-day versatile blend. Use the roaster’s current product page and adjust around the brewer and grinder.

Is Caravan Vista only for filter?+

Vista is Caravan’s signature filter blend and its official starting ratio is 1:15, but the current product page also lists whole-bean and espresso-ground formats and says it is easy to brew across methods. Filter remains the clearest intended route.

Has Home Coffee Index taste-tested these coffees?+

No. This comparison interprets Caravan’s current product pages, formats and published recipes. It does not present a blind tasting, laboratory test or owner-review average.
